A big yes! There are not many things popping out of the screen, but the depth and beauty of the Finding Dory ocean is quite beautiful in 3D. This movie, like it’s predecessor, is a visual masterpiece that is worth seeing in 3D. When you see Finding Dory, you will meet new friends, learn a thing or two about ocean life, and you may even cry a happy kind of cry. It is also a look inside parenting a special needs child. At its heart, Finding Dory is movie about the power and unwavering love of family. Like in the first movie, the journey leads to unexpected adventure, new friends, and even some peril. Instead of seeking out the lost Nemo, this time the hunt is on for Dory’s parents and the mystery of where Dory came from. I recently attended a media screening of Finding Dory and this movie was worth the wait.įinding Dory takes place a year after the events of Finding Nemo, although there are quite a few flashbacks to Dory’s childhood. Fast forward 13 years and two kids later and Finding Nemo is now a family favorite. My children were thrilled when we heard about Finding Dory and I have to admit that I was, too. I thought the movie was a visual masterpiece, but I did not connect with the story-line at all. When I first watched Finding Nemo, I was 6 months pregnant with my firstborn. ![]()
